Letter fron Allan Kenning on 30/11/00 which brings into doubt Ann'sancestary Hello Steve Thanks for info. It will take me a while to go through it and sort outwhat is what. I am also trying to get all my Blick data into a specialfamily file. Re Ann's parents I have had from another research that David Blick andAnn Critchley were the parents but there was no documentary evidence. Are you able to find out where Terry WAY got his information? A few months ago I heard from a Lorna Aggarwal in Mullaloo WA who is descended from Charlotte a sister of Thomas and Ann. She had William Blick and Ann Smith as parents and had actually seen their headstones in the Shortwoul church. She also saidshe had got the information from Parish records. I decided to accept this as there is a William in almost every Blick Generation from Thomas on , but not a single David. As you know looking at the LDS records there are so many with the sameChristian name it gets hopeless. I will go back to Lorna and see if she can be more positive. Regards Allan on the same ship as Ann were the following Blicks Blick Thomas 38 Labourer Hannah 39 George 18 Gardener Enoch 17 Gardener Charles 14 Gardener Hannah 13 William 9 James 5 Given the ages this could be a brother
Note
Anne was the daughter of George Blick who was also on the Indus. With her was brother Thomas Blick and wife Anna With them were 3 boys aged 9 5 2 and a girl of 13
Note
The LDS IG records of the Blicks in Minchinhampton has three Anns born in 1824 Father John Mother Elizabeth, 1807 father David, Mother Anne and 1781 Father Thomas mother Jane. Given that the date of marriage is 1828 then the best fit is the 1807 birth date
Note
George and Ann were married in 1806 and this may be the logic behind the Peter Harman note given that the mothers name is Ann
