Was an early pupil at Upper Tutaenui School. Records are lost so definate years not known. Benjamin after his marriage farmed firstly in the Papakura area [out from Hunterville. He later moved to the Mangaweka area and finally moved to West,ere north of Wanganui still farming, a smaller farm until his death. His wife remained there and and also their daughter Ethel and her husband.
